RETAIL

My study abroad in Cortona, Italy in the summer of 2012 was the design experience of a lifetime. My partner and I were challenged to rebrand a local "mom and pop" chocolate store into an internationally recognized retail brand. By utilizing the fashion and retail capitol, Rome, Italy for our case studies, we learned how to successfully develop our small store into something much larger. From the initial brand and product analysis to the logo and packaging design, we worked as graphic designers to create our brand. Once given the space to design in the heart of Cortona, we began developing furniture for our product displays and purchases. Our initial case studies of the high end stores in Rome really inspired our design approach and inventiveness in the space. Bold colors and innovative features were utilized to highlight the avant garde aspect that our product would be world renowned for.
